Local News on a Map

Finding local news of a city among a pile of search results obtained for that city is extremely painful. For example try finding an article on “SMS Usage in Bangalore”. It is difficult to find the relevant results among 8 lakh plus results.

It might be useful to find the news by a map. Go to google map, point to Bangalore area. Search for a news item. Keeping the user’s context of the city, the search will index and return only the results in that area.
